Buying a pool is a large commitment and can seem daunting but at Polyworld we strive to make the purchase and delivery of one of our Poly Pools as easy as possible so you can swim more and worry less. But if you’re thinking about buying an above-ground pool, there are a few things you should keep in mind. So how do you start your Pool Journey?
Assessing the space you have available:
Our Pools are created from moulds and as such can’t be modified to suit customer requirements so it’s important to assess the size of the area you have available and pick out a pool that suits your situation, our Tug pool has the smallest footprint and space requirement of our full swimming pools and then following in ascending order are the Clipper, Cruiser, and Schooner.
The Tug and Clipper Pool are round, the Cruiser is a Rectangular Pool, and the Schooner is an Oval Pool with long sides and round ends. You can see the dimensions of each individual pool on their pages or consult these listed dimensions.
You will also need to make sure that the spot you plan to place your pool on is level and you will want to have a hose and water source nearby, as well as some tools to help with the filter installation if you plan to install your pump kit yourself. Most importantly, be sure to read and follow up on your local council pool fencing advice and requirements.
Consider wether you want your pool to sit above ground or be a partially in-ground pool. For any intended use either inground, partially inground or buried you must consult your hydraulic engineer, for installation requirements. – Failure to do this will void any warranties.
Please remember to account for the extra space a larger concrete pad will occupy for use with the Schooner or Cruiser and note that listed sizes are nominal.
Picking out a pool:
We have designed our range of pools to offer not just different aesthetics but also to suit different spaces, uses, and intentions, the Tug and Clipper Pool’s small footprint and round design are easily fitted into small yards and are the easiest to make your own with landscaping and creative decoration while the Cruiser and Schooner are larger and better for entertaining house guests and all of our pool options look stunning installed into a deck.
If you have any questions or concerns we strongly encourage you to call us at 1300 888 654, contact us on Facebook, or make an enquirey on our website and one of our consultants will be happy to assist you.
Whilst the footprint of our Poly Pools does vary the height is reasonably constant, most adults can expect to be able to stand in the pool with the water coming up to about shoulder height.
No matter what your needs are, one of our pools will be just perfect for you.
Affordability and Finance:
Our range of Poly Pools massively beat out our competitors on price point in addition to having superior features. We strive to offer affordable home pools that will last a growing family years without compromising on quality. We want to deliver the Summer you deserve.
However we understand paying for anything in a $$$$ price range upfront is not feasible for many budgets, to help with this Polyworld has proudly partnered with HandyPay Finance, with the goal of getting you swimming as soon as possible.
Purchase, deposits, and delivery:

We have a strong record of getting our Pools to customers just weeks after they place their order. For delivery we require a 25% deposit on all of our pools.
On delivery day you will want multiple able-bodied people to assist in moving the pool into situation.
The Schooner and Cruiser Pool require their steel frame to be assembled before being filled with water, which will be taken care of by our driver. From there you just need to install a pump and filter package, set up a ladder or set of steps, and… just add water!
How do you maintain an above-ground pool?
To maintain an above-ground pool, you need to do a few things. First, they need a pump to circulate the water and keep it from stagnating. They also need a filter to remove debris and impurities from the water.
We also recommend you clean the pool regularly. This means sweeping the floor and vacuuming the walls and steps. You also need to empty the skimmer baskets and backwash the filter. Finally, you need to test the water regularly and add chemicals as needed to keep the pH balanced. By following these simple steps, you can enjoy your above-ground pool all Summer and for many years to come.
